Meet the

Staff

Heading the day-to-day operations is the Executive Director, who holds responsibility for the foundation's overall management and implementation of its programs and initiatives. The Executive Director works closely with the Board of Directors to execute the foundation's vision and objectives efficiently.

Mackenzie Price

Bad Axe

Mackenzie joined the Huron County Community Foundation team as Executive Director in May 2014. Prior to moving to Huron County, Mackenzie volunteered with the Hillsdale County Community Foundation and the Michigan Community Foundations Youth Project. She also worked at the Council of Michigan Foundations providing support for youth philanthropy efforts across the state of Michigan.

As the Executive Director of HCCF, Mackenzie is often asked to represent rural philanthropy on a state and national level. She also serves as a member of the Council of Michigan Foundations Community Foundation Committee and the Government Relations and Public Policy Committee.

Members

Various subcommittees further enhance the foundation's functionality by focusing on specific areas of operation. Collectively, these committees and staff form a robust organizational framework that enables the Huron County Community Foundation to fulfill its mission of serving the community and fostering positive change effectively.

Currently, the Huron County Community Foundation has the following committees:

Finance Committee

Oversees financial matters, ensuring transparency and accountability in fiscal management.

Public Engagement Committee

Responsible for fostering community involvement and raising awareness about the foundation's initiatives.

Scholarships Committee

Manages scholarship programs, facilitating educational opportunities for deserving individuals within the community.

Building Committee

Oversees matters related to the foundation's future home, the Community Hub Project

Grantmaking Committee

Tasked with evaluating grant proposals and allocating funds to deserving projects that align with the foundation's mission.

Governance Committee

Ensures that the foundation operates in accordance with established policies and procedures, maintaining ethical standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Youth Advisory Committee (YAC)

Engages young people in philanthropy, empowering them to make a positive impact through grantmaking activities targeted at youth-centric initiatives.
