Demolition Complete - 101 N. Port Crescent

The building formerly at 101 N. Port Crescent has been demolished to make way for the new Community Hub!

Beginning on July 15, 2024, Rooney Contracting worked swiftly to lower the building on site. Next steps include working with Michigan EGLE (Environmental, Great Lakes and Energy) and the Huron County Brownfield Redevelopment Authority to complete the necessary environmental remediation. Because of the site’s former use as a gas station, contaminated soil must be removed from the site prior to renovation commencing.

We appreciate the community’s excitement and support as we continue to bring the Community Hub to life.
